Blogging about Fringe: June 22, 2009
After the first weekend of Fringe, chatter about the 2009 festival is heating up on local blogs. Here’s what’s being said, in case you missed it:
Apt. 613 has an audio visual podcast (which I missed in my last post - sorry about that!).
The Ottawa Arts Newsletter is keeping us up to date with Jessica’s picks for Days 3, 4, and 5 of the festival.
XUP diagnoses Ottawa with Fringefluenza (now UPDATED with a mini-review of No Exit Upstage).
Post Industrial Brambles has a very succinct recap of their Fringe experience so far.
The always interesting Sterling Lynch has not one, but three new posts. Have a read about Day 2: The Return of the King, Day 3: A Grand Opening and Bush Management, and Day 4: Pant Licking Good. Sterling is acting in one Fringe show, directed another, and blogs every day. Busy guy.
Not to be outdone, performer Nancy Kenny has FOUR offerings for you: read about the opening night of No Exit Upstage; what happens when Fringe shows run long; her love for Countries Shaped Like Stars; and a handy compilation of reviews for her show.
Volunteer extraordinaire Jamine gives us some perspective from the volunteer’s table.
The TheatreGirl has another two reviews for us. This time: We Never Clothed and Countries Shaped Like Stars.
The Elgin Street Irregulars have added a “Fringe Cam” to their site (thanks guys and gals!)
And over at the Wellington Oracle, they have updated their 40 Seconds to Fringe You post with even more 40-second (or less) pitches by Fringe artists.
