Fringing Guide

Pick up a program

It’s the only way to find out all the show details! Programs for the 2008 Fringe will be available beginning June 1.

Programs will also be available at Fringe Central (100-2 Daly Avenue, Arts Court Building) beginning June 1 and in the Courtyard during the festival.

Pick up your pin

A must have for all Fringe goers, the Fringe Pin costs just $2 and it’s your pass to the Festival! Since 100% of ticket revenue goes to the performers, sales of the Pin enable us to keep the Festival going! It is your way of supporting the Festival.
Note:
You need a pin to see a show. If you lose your pin you will need to purchase another one. It’s not that we don’t trust you, it’s that we don’t trust other people.

Choose a Play

Show descriptions and the master schedule tell you everything you need to know. Last-minute program changes are posted in the Courtyard, in Fringe Central and on the Fringe website in the Schedule Update section.

Buy a ticket at the door

Tickets are available at each venue with cash or a Frequent Fringer Card (see below). For the first performance of the day at each venue, tickets go on sale one hour before show time. For all other shows, tickets go on sale 15 minutes after the previous performance at the venue begins. About 50 per cent of tickets are reserved for at-the-door sales. There is a limit of four tickets per person at the door.

Buy a ticket in advance

From June 1 to June 23rd, you can purchase tickets in person at the Fringe Festival Office. You can buy advance tickets for any show up to the day before the performance - they cannot be purchased on the day of the show. (A $2 surcharge applies to each ticket purchased.)

NOTE: All ticket sales are final. Because all ticket revenue goes directly to the performers, it is not possible to give refunds or exchanges once a ticket is purchased.

Frequent Fringer Card

For only $40, you can see 5 shows while saving up to $10 on the regular price of admission

For only $70, you can see 10 shows while saving up to $30 on the regular price of admission!

Note:
Frequent Fringe Passes are a highly discounted way to see Fringe shows. They cannot be used to purchase Advance Tickets. They do not guarantee admission to a venue. Go early to avoid disappointment. The number of Frequent Fringer Passes are limited and sell out fast, so don’t delay!

Find a venue

All venues are within a seven-minute walk of the Fringe Courtyard. The site map in the program makes it easy to find. Set your watch to Official Fringe Time and get there before the show starts. We can’t admit latecomers.

The Fine Print

No refunds. No exchanges. No exceptions.

This is due to the nature of our venues and the fact that the Fringe only sells tickets on behalf of the performing companies. Thanks for understanding.

ENJOY YOURSELF!!!

Some shows you’ll love and some you won’t, but that’s the charm of true “fringing”. Go see more than one and take in some of the entertainment in the Courtyard.
