Liars Club
by Neil LaBute
You are walking a fine line every time you tell a lie. After a while, you begin to believe it and then, the truth vanishes. In Liars Club, four characters experience this feeling when asked to recount a traumatic moment. The true test for the audience is to discover where the truth lies.

I thought the show was well-performed. I didn’t like the overall premise
of the script as much. I didn’t find the “test for the audience” was
much of a test, given that we already knew that this US script wasn’t
originally written for these four Ottawa actors.

Strong performances by the cast, but all in all a poor choice of shows for the Fringe.
