Writer/Creator: Laura Anne Harris

Judy Holliday, Oscar winner for 1950’s Born Yesterday, was a 170-IQ genius who specialized in playing dumb blondes - an act that held her in good stead when she was hauled before Senator McCarthy’s inquisitors in 1952 on suspicion of having communist sympathies. That part of her too-short life is the subject of this evocative award-winning play starring Laura Harris.

One Response to “Pitch Blond”

  1. I started out with Pitch Blond, by the extremely sweet Laura Harris. Her performance was great from start to finish, and the writing was great. She handled the technical difficulties (such as blaring sound, and oddly changing lights) beautifully by finding ways to work into her script a quick note to the subbing-technician, and moved right on, not breaking character, or the flow of the performance!

This show has not gotten the attention it deserves, so go see it and help build the buzz!
