I always like Jonno Katz’s shows. I never know what’s in the script and what isn’t, and I don’t even want to know. “The Spy” is probably the best Epic Worlds show I’ve seen in Ottawa his Jonno’s first trip here. I got a little bit lost in the middle of this one, but the character is terrific and the physicality is awesome. He makes it look like it’s all being made up on the spot, which might not work for everyone, but I love it.

An excellent show. I delight in watching the fourth wall come down as a
performer leaps into the unknown and deliberately includes the audience
in the show. The way an actor deals with the unexpected (or ignores it)
reveals things about him that just aren’t in the script, and Jonno shows
us a playful side that is endearing. The show is a nice balance between
scripted material and improv (assuming that some of what wasn’t audience
interaction was actually scripted!).

This one-man show takes you through a whole cast of characters involved in espionnage. Set in the 70’s, Katz travels the world in search of his own truth and comes across valuable secrets that others wish to kill for. This show is funny, engaging, and interactive. A definite must-see of the Fringe.

A very nice one-man comedy show, with Jonno Katz combining an engaging monologue with a little bit a miming and improv to good effect. The best jokes rely on a smart and attentive audience, great job by the writer, the “snake” line killed me! One of the better shows at the fringe in my opinion.

So, so funny! Jonno Katz is brilliant, and there’s two great parts of the show; one, the actual scripted story is hilarious, twisty and really good fun, but the really priceless parts happen when he interacts with the audience.
Jonno Katz is such a delightful personality, you’d be a sadly deprived person if you didn’t see this show!

Loved it! Laughed til I almost cried. At the beginning I found the mime a little bit confusing until I clicked onto what was happening, but otherwise I enjoyed every minute. Especially good for people who liked Smiley, Maxwell Smart and Inspector Gadget.

This show was hi-larious. Jonno was so engaging and charming, he could have stood on the stage and belched for and hour and I still would have been taken with his performance. Such great delivery on the jokes, relying heavily upon and yet still mocking miming, great relationship with the audience. The best was when the woman next to me sneezed, and without skipping a beat, Seymour Fogs said “Bless you” and got out of his invisible car. See this show. I actually laughed out loud. A lot. And I’m not usually kind of person who laughs out loud. Go.
