Are you on Twitter?
Twitter (for those of you unfamilliar) is a social networking site where users send out 140-character updates (sometimes called “Tweets”) to their friends (who are also on Twitter).
The Ottawa Fringe is on Twitter (follow us if you aren’t already) where we’ve been updating our followers with up-to-the-minute Fringe updates (sell out shows!), contests (Fringe Trivia Friday!), and gossip (guess who’s making out in the Fringe Courtyard!).
Now we’re introducing the Fringe Twitter Play Contest.
The rules are simple: write a Fringe play, in one tweet (140-characters or less), and label it with the hashtag #ottfringe (a hastag enables us to find tweets on a specific subject by simply searching for their common hashtag). That’s it. You can enter as many times as you like, as long as each play is only one tweet long.
Then, starting Wednesday, June 24, Brad MacNeil and Catriona Leger will be performing their favourites during Chats with Cat (every night at 10:00 pm in the Fringe Courtyard), and the audience will choose that day’s winner (who will recieve a great prize). And at the closing ceremonies on Sunday, June 28, we will announce the grand prize winner.
